PRESIDENTIAL ADDRESS 2020

The 14th January 2020 presidential address to the nation saw the president address various issues that are affecting the country.Among the addressed issues were;

CORRUPTION

Corruption menace has seen massive loss of public resources by the greedy  public servants. The president affirmed Kenyans of his commitment towards the fight. He urged the judiciary to support his efforts since there are no powers that are bestowed on him to convict suspects.He also expressed discontentment with how the judiciary is delivering justice.He also said that he will protect no suspect who is suspected to have embezzled public resources.

CABINET SECRETARIES

Earlier the president had called for the cabinet secretaries to put aside their various political interests for the delivery of projects to the citizens.However this call was not honoured by some of them.This therefore saw Mwanji Kinjuri out of the new cabinet.he has been in frequent meetings organised by the TangaTanga team of the Jubilee party which aligns with the Deputy president. The docket he held has been put under Peter Munya.
There has also been new entries to the cabinet among them,Mutahi Kagwe for the ministry of health and Betty Maina for the ministry of trade and industrialization.Various changes have also been made,among the Monica Juma 's shift to the ministry of defense  and Rachael Omamo to the ministry of foreign affairs. These among other reassignments.This assignments however require the approval of the national assembly.
It also saw entries of youthful Kenyans to various positions of chief assistant secretaries.

NHIF RULES IMPLEMENTATION

The president directed for immediate halt to the implementation of the controversial rules by the national health insurance fund until further consultation. This rules faced a lot of opposition by citizens as well as leaders who perceived the regulations as inconsiderate of the common citizens.

AGRICULTURE SECTOR

The agriculture sector has also been addressed widely.The president directed for payment of a 50% of the farmer's money after the delivery of the farm produce (tea and coffee).he further ordered for the purchase of produce from only those who are farmers and not brokers.

These are among other changes reached at the presidential address.He has also promised kenyans of more changes in the government.
