BBI BUGHUNGU MEETING

The Building Bridges Initiative campaigns are to be held at Bukhungu stadium in Kakamega county on the 18th of  January 2020. The campaign is to be attended by most of the regional leaders to align with the ODM party. Among them is Kakamega senator Cleophas Malala and the COTU secretary general Francis Atwoli. This meeting is preceded by division where the Luhya leaders (Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula) have been denied the permission to conduct a similar meeting in the same county at Mumias. The latter two have vowed to boycott the meeting claiming of being sidelined. Their meeting permits have been revoked by the police bosses who made claims that there are possibilities of conflict arising from the supporters of both sides. The meeting at the Bughungu stadium is being coordinated by the Kakamega County Boss.
